Journey Women’s Center exists to come alongside women by providing medical testing, compassionate counseling, and mentoring for those whose journey has taken a detour due to sexual activity or an unplanned pregnancy.

When you find out you’re pregnant you have three options: abortion, adoption, or parenting. No matter what you decide, your choice will affect you in some way for the rest of your life.
We are here to listen without judgement and love without agenda. We offer counseling and resources for women and families facing an unplanned pregnancy.

Client dealing with partner violence

**The prevalence of intimate partner violence is nearly three times greater for women seeking an abortion compared with women who are continuing their pregnancies. (Bourassa & Berube, 2007) For women trapped in abusive relationships, abortion seems easier and less painful than having to parent alone, co-parent with an abuser, or continue living with the abuse. Journey Women’s Center seeks to support victims and connect them to resources that can empower and provide the support necessary to walk away from their abuser.
Single mom pressured to abort
“I didn’t know that an abortion could affect my relationship with my daughter. I don’t want to lose that.” After 2nd daughter born—“Who knows where I would be, if I had never met her. I love watching the relationship between my two daughters. I can’t imagine life without my youngest.”

Past Miscarriages
“I want to thank you guys so profoundly for the level of love and prayers you provided me with in the beginning of my pregnancy. I was so scared and coming to your facility, being welcomed with nothing but love and open arms, really helped…I will forever be so grateful and thankful to you all.”
Abortion Pill Reversal
“I took the first abortion pill. I completely regret it and wish I wouldn’t have. I don’t know what to do.” She contacted JWC over the weekend. We got her in contact with the Abortion Pill Reversal network. A prescription was called into the local pharmacy for progesterone (to reverse the effects of the 1st pill that ends the pregnancy). Progesterone give the baby a 60% chance of survival. We met with her again to confirm whether pregnancy was still viable.
“The baby’s heartbeat is strong!”
We met with her and her boyfriend again and provided support as told their families about the pregnancy.
Later, a healthy baby was born. She says, “I’m so glad that I called you guys that day. We love our happy little guy!”
**The Abortion Pill Reversal process is shown to be over 64% effective after taking the 1st abortion pill. Two out of three women successfully reversed their abortion and carried their baby to term. (Charlotte Lozier Institute)
First time parents
“When we came to JWC, we already had an appointment set at Planned Parenthood to talk through termination options. When we heard our baby’s little heartbeat for the very first time, we knew that we could never go through with [an abortion]. My stomach turns at the idea of what would have happened if God did not guide us to JWC. I thank God every day that we came…because hearing that little flutter changed our lives! Our son is our whole world and we love him so much.
