Remember that every woman’s pregnancy journey is unique, and you may or may not experience all of these symptoms. We are here to provide the information and assistance you need, so don’t hesitate to reach out. Pregnancy Tests Don’t Confirm Pregnancy

Pregnancy tests detect the presence of the hCG hormone, a hormone which is only present in women’s bodies when they’re pregnant. Only a doctor can confirm a pregnancy. For a pregnancy to be viable, or able to progress, there are two requirements:
1. The gestational sac and fetus must be in the uterus
2. A heartbeat must be present

Remember, it’s crucial to seek professional medical assessment to ensure accurate and reliable information about your pregnancy’s status. If you have questions or uncertainties, we are here to offer guidance and support in navigating this important journey. Your well-being and peace of mind are our top priorities, and we are committed to providing you with the compassionate care you deserve.

Limited OB Ultrasounds Help to Confirm Pregnancy

Doctors rely on ultrasound images to confirm a pregnancy, gathering crucial information about its progression. For a healthy pregnancy to develop, the gestational sac and fetus must be safely located inside the uterus, or “in utero.” However, in cases like ectopic pregnancies, where implantation occurs outside the uterus, particularly in the fallopian tubes, immediate medical attention is necessary.

Moreover, the presence of fetal heart tones, or a heartbeat, is another significant indicator of a progressing pregnancy. If you suspect you are pregnant the best way to confirm that a pregnancy is viable is with an ultrasound. We provide limited OB ultrasounds free of charge. If you’d like to get an ultrasound, please contact us so we can schedule your free appointment.

One-in-Four Pregnancies End in Miscarriage

Women often miscarry before they realize they’re pregnant. Most miscarriages happen in the first trimester, or 12 weeks, of pregnancy. The causes are largely unknown, apart from cases involving excessive drug or alcohol usage.

If you find yourself feeling scared or uncertain about your pregnancy, please know that you’re not alone. We are here to provide support and information as you navigate this journey. Remember, you deserve kindness and understanding throughout this process.
